Natalia Dinsel-Bondarenko (b. 1981, Lviv) is a self-taught abstract artist who currently lives and works in Hamburg, Germany. Dinsel-Bondarenko works in the field of psychology as a second career, and attempts to channel her studies and findings onto the canvas. The basis of her artistic expression is to present a philosophical view on the meaning of life and humans pursuit of happiness and fulfilled. Inspired by meditations, music, and her own life experiences, Dinsel-Bondarenko’s often heavily layered work invites the viewer to reflect and look deeper.
“My art tries to invite the view to look beyond the horizon and reflect. All of my paintings have many layers…I let the viewer recognize my symbolic idea of the complexity of our multilayered life. Layer by layer the painting changes its look, the colors too, but the previous layers can still be seen through. It’s my symbolic way of expressing how our life experiences are forming our life journey.”
Sonya: A Sunflower Network Project presents 4 of Dinsel-Bondarenko’s works in varying styles, showcasing the artist’s wide range of visual talent. The painter’s work has been featured in the London Art Biennale and in multiple solo shows in Germany.
